How to receive payment from music sales

Anytime you sell music through your website, you’ll be paid for it. This payment will go either to Stripe or Paypal, depending on which platform you have set up and which method of payment your customer uses to complete their purchase. Bandzoogle does not take any money from your sales.

To learn more about where to collect money from your sales, please view the ‘Getting Paid through Paypal and Stripe’ Help article.

How to sell an ‘Album’

This option is for selling a collection of tracks. When a customer purchases an album, the download will be a zip file that includes everything in the album feature - all tracks, album artwork, and any bonus files you’ve additionally uploaded.

To learn more about selling an album, please view the ‘Selling an Album’ Help article.

How to sell a ‘Track’

If you would like to sell tracks on your website that aren’t a part of an album or EP, you can use the ‘Track List’ feature. This is useful if you’d like to sell tracks from different albums or a collection of singles.

To learn more about selling tracks, please view the ‘Selling a track’ Help article.

Note: Lite and Standard members can upload up to 250MB per individual track file. Pro plan members can upload up to 600MB per individual track file.

How to sell a ‘Single’

If you are releasing a single ahead of an album release, or as a standalone track, you can use the ‘Single’ feature. To learn more about selling singles, please view the ‘Selling a single’ Help article.

How to sell CDs and vinyl records

This option allows you to sell physical CDs and vinyl records. You can sell CDs and vinyl with a digital version, or sell the physical product exclusively. To learn more about selling CDs and vinyl, please view the ‘Selling CDs and vinyl’ Help article.

Note: Bandzoogle does not handle order fulfillment for CDs or vinyl. You are responsible for shipping the product to your customer.

How to sell individual tracks from a player

Tracks can be sold separately in a few ways. Add or sell your music using a compact player, your site-wide music player, or in a track list. If you would like to sell a series of tracks that aren’t a part of an album, please view the ‘Adding Music’ Help article.

How to view music sales in your account

If you’ve received a purchase notification email, you can view a detailed report of the transaction through your ‘Selling Tools’ control panel in the ‘Transactions’ area. To learn more about your transaction history, please view the ‘Selling Tools’ Help article.
